Subnautica 2 Processor Guide
Quick Answer
The Processor is a base facility used to turn raw materials into ingots and advanced processed materials. Unlock it by scanning a broken Processor, usually at the Old Habitat north of the Lifepod, then build it in a powered base with the Habitat Builder.
Requirements
- Scanner
- Habitat Builder
- Powered base room
- Processor blueprint scan
- Titanium
- Mild Acid
- Copper Wire
Exact Location
- Known scan routes include Old Habitat roughly 350-375m north of the Lifepod and some wreck interiors. If one route is unclear after a patch, try the other before assuming the blueprint is missing.
Step-by-Step Route
- Craft a Scanner and keep enough oxygen safety for a northbound Old Habitat trip.
- Scan a broken or degraded Processor to unlock the base facility blueprint.
- Return to a powered base and open the Habitat Builder interior facilities menu.
- Place the Processor inside the base, leaving enough space to reach both the input and output sides.
- Use it to process Titanium, Copper, Silver, Gold, Germanium, Plasteel, Mangalloy, Strong Acid, and other processed materials as recipes unlock.
Crafting Recipe
- Current guides list Titanium + Mild Acid + Copper Wire.
- PC Gamer and GamerGuides list 2x Titanium; Shacknews lists 3x Titanium.
- Use the in-game Habitat Builder recipe after scanning because Early Access recipes can change.
What It Unlocks
- Processor ingot recipes
- Sonic Resonator material route
- Strong Acid and Power Cell route
- Tadpole crafting route
- Advanced base and Power Plant progression
Common Mistakes
- Trying to craft ingots at the Fabricator instead of the Processor.
- Building the Processor in an unpowered base.
- Interacting with the input side and assuming the output disappeared.
- Treating the 2 vs 3 Titanium recipe conflict as settled before checking the in-game panel.
